Nick's Newborn Session

This morning, I took, 4 day old, Nick's pictures. What a sweet heart! He was the best baby and slept! Probably due to how "new" he still was. :) I was excited that we got to try some different poses and use a few different props for this session, that the babies only tolerate when sleeping. It was a lot of fun! Even though, I was about to sweat to death in my house. Try to keep it warm in here so the babies can all be comfortable. Comfortable for them = extreme heat stroke for a 6 month pregnant lady. :) I also was lucky enough to snap a quick pic of Nick's 2.5 year old twin brother and sister giving their new brother a quick kiss. :) They were just a little camera shy today unlike when I did their 2 year pictures in November. :)

Enjoy!

Amelia Turns 2!!!!

Monday of this week, I took Amelia's 2 year pictures. She had just turned 2 the day before and had a huge Dora party!! We met at 10am for pictures, and let me just tell you that it was HOT & HUMID already! Her mommy and I are both expecting and were extremely uncomfortable. Amelia was super hot too, but did well considering. Poor thing, by the time we did outfit change, she was already so sweaty! I'm glad we were able to seek some shade under the pretty gazebo, at least! Happy Birthday, Amelia!!!

Enjoy!

Kyle's Senior Pictures

Last Saturday, I took Kyle's senior pictures. He will be graduating from Gibson Southern next year. I remember when he was little, I worked with his mom several years back. We first started down on the river front. Little did we know, that it would be busy with a car show, road race as well as the residual flood waters. We made the best of it, then headed to the Pigeon Creek bridge on the Greenway. After that we headed east to Wesselman's park. His mom wanted Kyle's pictures taken on the tracks because that is where her and her husband had their engagement pictures taken some 20 years ago. I thought that was very neat!!! Congrats & good luck, Kyle!!

8th Grade Spring Dance

I was asked by my friend, Brandy, with Faithworks Boutique to take pictures of her daughter and her friends. They were all attending their school's 8th grade spring dance and wanted to have their pictures taken at Cynthia Heights Elementary School, where they all attended grade school. I thought this was such a fun and neat idea that they wanted their pictures, while all dressed up, out on the playground. We dodged the rain that was supposed to come and enjoyed the beautiful evening. I snapped pictures while the kids were just being kids.
Side note: Please check out Brandy's website: She is a fabulous person, and a SAHM, like myself, running a fantastic business out of her home. She makes the most wonderful custom creations I've ever seen. Even if you don't have children, she has something for you! If you don't see something on her website, but you would like to have it made....email her, ask her. She can make ANYTHING!

Zach & Jaxson

We met out at the 4H center yesterday to take the boys 4 year and 18 month pictures. It was the perfect setting for the outfits their mom brought. However, between mom, aunt and myself trying to get the boys to cooperate, we forgot to do an outfit change! The boys were not too thrilled with having to get their picture taken. Our backup plan was the playground to get some guaranteed smiles, however, there was a field trip that played on the playground the entire time we were there! This was my 2nd time in 6 months to get to take the boys' pictures, thank you to their mom and dad for the opportunity!

The Halbig Family

Last Saturday, I had a photo session with the Halbig family. I was really looking forward to it, as they are friends of mine. They had the perfect backdrop in their own subdivision and their neighbors were nice enough to allow us to use their willow tree. The shoot didn't come without some challenges. :) It was chilly and breezy and her daughter was freezing in her adorable dress, bless her heart. We worked and worked until we got the perfect shots! The boys weren't phased by the temperatures, they hammed it up every time the camera pointed their way...which made it a little hard to get candid shots...they'd instantly stop what they were doing and smile. Love it! :) This is one of my favorite family shots to date. It is extra hard with a 6, 4 & 2 year old to get them to all look at the camera and smile as well as mom and dad. This was one of the last shots we took!

Enjoy!

Chase's 1st Birthday!!

I met Chase and his mommy & daddy on Monday at USI for some outdoor shots of Chase for his 1st birthday. Little did we know it was going to be overcast, chilly and breezy. The little guy did well, but he wasn't happy about it. :) Can't blame him! Then we came back to the house for another cake smashing session! I think he was a little indifferent regarding the sweet icing. We still had a lot of fun! This little guy has the brightest blue eyes i've seen. They look as if they were Photo-shopped, I can assure you, they were not!

Happy 1st Birthday, Caleb!

I met this sweet family for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We started off at Burdette for some candid shots of Caleb and a family shot. We finished up at my house to do the cake smashing session. Those are always my favorite! It's so much fun to see how different each child is when it comes to their 1st cake.

Enjoy!

Mitchell's 3 Month Session

I took Mitchell's 3 month pictures today, part of his milestones that I get the pleasure of taking! It is so fun to see how quickly these kiddos change! He was a happy little guy the entire time once he got his bottle, essential to a growing boy! :) We even managed to get a couple of shots with his sister...but not too many. She had her own agenda, and it was not getting her picture taken! She is adorable and when I got the chance I was snapping pictures right and left. I look forward to seeing these kiddos again in a few months.
Enjoy!
