Maternity Leave Update
I am officially on maternity leave from Candid Xpressions. :) I am proud to say that I made it through and extremely busy spring and summer!!! I was also VERY fortunate to have mother nature on my side so far with no rain cancellations! Yes, it was crazy hot on a lot of early morning shoots, but we made it!

I am currently booked up for the remainder of 2010. I am taking appointments for 2011 already with April nearly booked up! I just book the client down for a month of their choice and schedule the day closer to the time due to neither of us knowing what our schedules will be like a year from now. :) It's been working out great by doing it that way. If you know of anyone that may be interested in a new photographer, PLEASE send them my information!!! It would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to find time/a slow month for us to take our own family vacations to see where it fits in with my schedule. It's been a long time since we've taken a "real" vacation, 1st time as a family....I am already looking forward to it. LOL!!!
As I have some down time before my newborn arrives, I am making some minor adjustments to my pricing (the most noticable is the Proof CD) as well as looking into adding new products. Don't worry, I am still cheaper than the competition!! :-D I've done a price comparison between several local photographers.

Jessalyn's Maternity Session
I was so excited to get to do one of my best friend's maternity shoots! At first she said she wasn't interested in doing them. Totally understandable. She asked if I could squeeze her in before my time off, it worked out perfect! The more she thought about it, I think she realized we could have a lot of fun with it. That we did!! About an hour before she arrived, I got a great idea to have her little girls do hand prints on her belly! If you know Jess, you know that she is a very crafty and creative mama with her girls. This was perfect! This was also my first maternity shoot, I was a little nervous, but we had a LOT of fun!!! :) Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, and I can't wait to meet baby girl/boy K.!!!!!

Welcome Jack Michael!!
I had the great fortune of getting to do an unexpected newborn shoot. Little Jack made his way into the world at 36 weeks. If he had went closer to his due date, I myself, was going to be on maternity leave and be unable to take his pics. He is as healthy as can be with no NICU stay. I am so glad I got to take his pictures & a few unique ones at that. His daddy is an avid hunter and fisherman so he brought his duck calls to see if we could incorporate them. I just LOVE what we came up with!! Stay tuned for more pictures of Jack through his 1st year. :)

Kaden's 3 Month Pics
Wednesday, I had Kaden's 3 month session. Such a handsome, bright eyed little guy. He tuckered out toward the end when we attempted to try some new props etc. We got lucky and got a great pic of him with the flag, in celebration for the 4th of July. I am looking forward to documenting his 1st year as well! What a sweet baby boy!

On Tuesday, I took Addison's 3 month pictures. She is such a beautiful little girl! She was all smiles and got quite a few good pics of her adorable little dimple. So cute!! Looking forward to watching her grow as I get the opportunity to help her family document her 1st year.

Karlie's 4 Year Pics
Karlie was a little princess for her 4 year pics. She showed up with her tiara on & princess shoes. What a sweet heart. She was a little shy regarding the camera, but did very well. Her mommy bribed her with getting her ears pierced if she "cooperated." I can't wait to see her with her new earrings! :)
I was so excited to have found a new spot to take pictures. I absolutely love it & ALL of the possibilities. It is perfect for a little girl, but will work for a boy too! I only have a few sessions left until September, I am REALLY hoping this location will look great this fall as I am going to be VERY busy!

Ella's 1st Birthday!
Ella turned 1 this past week. What a sweet baby girl!! She is the daughter of a good friend & neighbor of ours. So glad they gave me the opportunity to once again, photograph their child's milestones!
